Here is our collection of great desserts.  Some are difficult and some easy, all are
delicious and will inspire compliments.  We are striving to keep vintage and older
recipes alive by saving them here.  If you have a recipe that you would like to share
and preserve, just send it to us.

Amish Blueberry Cobbler  This one is very easy and full of antioxidants.  Your kids won't
believe it is good for them.

Baklava  The traditional Greek pastry is a bit of work, but nice for special occasions.

Banana Cream Cheesecake  This starts with a box cake mix for the crust and you
end up with a creamy delicious dessert.

Banana Pudding Delight  This is simple, made with vanilla wafers, it's a good way to get
the kids to have some fruit after dinner.

Bananas Foster  Quite the rage in upscale restaurants in the 80's this dessert is
worth revisiting.  My kids go nuts over this and it makes a fairly simple, but
elegant end to a dinner party.

Black Walnut Pie  An old-fashioned recipe that is simple, but a stunning dessert.

Blancmange  A scratch vanilla pudding made with cornstarch.  Top notch comfort food.

Cakes  The dessert page was getting a little crowded so I have moved all the
cake recipes to a section of their own.  Find all different kinds of unusual and
vintage cake recipes in this section.

Caramel Apple Salad  If you make this just once, you will make it over and over again.
It is the hit of every pot luck.

Cherry Yum Yum   This is a very simple make ahead dessert that would be
great to take to a potluck dinner.

Chocolate Cheese Fritters  A stunning finish to an elegant dinner, or a fun snack
for a teenagers party, these can't fail to please.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding  A nice scratch recipe for pudding.  Lots of stirring, but
worth it.

Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake  This is a very decadent cheesecake that is simple and can be made a day ahead. 

Cindi's Peach Crumble  This is an easy recipe for peach season from my friend Cindi.

Cranberry Nut Pie  Very simple, with no separate crust.  An easy take along dessert
if you are having a holiday dinner at somebody else's home.

Deep Fried Strawberries with custard sauce   This is a showstopper. Serve along
side pound cake or ice cream or just by themselves.  You will be the talk of
the town after serving this unusual dish. 

Desserts in the Crock  Let dessert make itself while dinner is cooking.

Dessert Ravioli in Phyllo  This is fairly easy and I have gotten rave reviews for this one.

Easy Apple Dumplings  Very simple, these dumplings are made with refrigerated
crescent dough.

Easy Chocolate Torte This uses a purchased pound cake to make a quick and
luxurious dessert.

Eggnog Crème Brulee  A festive holiday dessert that could be enjoyed anytime of
year.

Fat Man's Delight  This is extremely easy and came highly recommended from one
of our readers and an old friend of mine.

Gelatin Desserts  A few of our favorites.  The winners of our gelatin dessert
recipe contest are all here as well as all of the entries. There is a huge number
of recipes in this section.

Hostess Cupcakes  These are a real pain in the neck to make, but it's fun to
do it once and the kids just love making them.

Hostess Twinkies  These are also a pain to make, but at least you can control
some of the ingredients.  The kids love making these also.

Key Lime Cheesecake  An easy and refreshing cheesecake.  If you can't find
key lime juice in your supermarket, just substitute regular lime juice.

Kimo's Hula Pie  If you can't make it to Maui to get the real thing, make this
copycat recipe at home.

Kool Aid Pie Absolutely the easiest dessert ever.  Use any flavor of Kool Aid you
like.

Lemon Cheesecake  This fail safe cheesecake is a recipe from Debbie, one of
our mystery shoppers.

Lemon Ice Box Pie  Very simple no bake pie, great use for fresh lemon
juice.

Lemon Sorbet   Fairly easy to make ahead, this can be used between
courses of a formal dinner or a light dessert after a heavy meal.  It's so
much better than purchased sorbet.  If you want lime, orange or
grapefruit sorbet just change the fruit.

Million Dollar Pie  We can thank Leslie for this easy and  delicious
pie, anyone can make this.

Peanut Butter Banana Pie  This has chocolate pudding and whipped
cream on top.  Elvis might really come back for this.

Portuguese Donuts  This recipe comes from my husband's family.
They are yeast donuts, flavored with a little whiskey and lemon peel.
It's a bit of work, but for a weekend morning project when you will
have enough people around, they are a special treat.

Pumpkin Desserts  In this section you will find a selection of pumpkin
desserts for holidays.

Raspberry Granita Absolutely wonderful after a heavy Italian meal.  It is
a fat free dessert and very simple to make.

Rhubarb Custard Pie  An old-fashioned recipe, give it a try and see why
it was a favorite of our Grandparents.

Strawberry Pie  Nothing says spring like a fresh strawberry pie.

Vanilla Bavarian Cream Pie  Also a contribution from one of our readers,
this is smooth and rich and always a great finish to any dinner.

Watermelon Pudding  Ready for something really different?  Try this refreshing summer
dessert that is chocolate flavored also and you'll be the talk of the barbecue.

Zabaglione (pronunciation: Zabayone) After Tiramisu, this is the classic Italian dessert.  
Serve it after a nice pasta meal.
