Mexican Potato Corn Chowder  Lightly spicy and very cheesy, this is a kid
favorite that I make often.  Partially made in a crockpot.

Minestrone  This is a basic soup with lots of flexibility.   Kids and adults
like this equally, plus it's nutritious and low in calories. 

Miso Soup  I am a huge fan of miso soup, the type you get in Japanese
restaurants.  My husband is in a Japanese fishing club, their token
Portuguese, and I persuaded one of the members to part with her recipe.
Miso can be purchased at an Asian grocery store.

Mock Potato Soup  A good way to get everyone to eat cauliflower.
This is a nice creamy soup.

Mushroom Barley Soup  A sophisticated soup that used both dried and
fresh mushrooms.

One Point Soup  This gets it's name from the "Weight Watchers Point"
system.  It has carrots and potatoes in it and they equal only one point
for a large bowl of this vegetable soup.  If you leave out those then it
is a low carb and no points meal.  Enjoy.

Onion Soup with Apple Cider  The cider gives this soup a nice depth
of flavor, and unlike most onion soup, does not have the bread and
cheese, so it it lower in calories and carbs.

Parsnip Soup  Parsnips look something like a white carrot.  If you
have never tried them, this soup is a nice way to start.  It is a
creamy and comforting start to a meal.

Pea & Cottage Cheese Soup  This "cream" soup is refreshing and
healthy.  It will fill you up with nutritionally dense calories.

Peanut Butter Soup  This may sound a little odd, but it is delicious
and unusual.  Your family will love it.

Porcini Mushroom Soup  This is no ordinary cream of mushroom soup.  Simply
a showstopper.  A wonderful recipe for entertaining or the start of a holiday meal.

Turkey Tortilla Soup  All the rage in Tex-Mex restaurants, this
soup is easily made at home and yours will taste better.

often, so stock up and have it on hand for this nutritious and
low calorie soup.

Turnip and Pear Soup  A good vegetarian soup to make in the
fall when both pears and turnips are in season.  Nice and mild
in flavor, children like this soup as well as adults.

Vegetable Soup with Asparagus Flan  This soup is a big pain in the
neck to make but is worth every minute.  A beautiful vegetable broth
thickened with potato and asparagus puree and surrounds asparagus
flans.  You have to try this one.  It's very impressive.

Vegetable Tortellini Soup Italian style tortellini soup is one of my
favorites.  This one has no meat and is perfect with bread for a
filling meatless meal.

Vermont Cheddar Soup  A very smooth cheese soup with no meat.

Velveeta Potato Soup Lots of calories in this one, but boy are they
worth it.  Kids inhale this soup and they can use all the calcium.

Warm Tomato Soup  Best made with fresh roasted tomatoes, you can
substitute canned roasted tomatoes with good results.

White Bean Soup  This special soup is pureed and finished with cream
and white truffle oil.  Simply outstanding.

Wild Rice Turkey Soup  Great use for leftover turkey, a rich soup that
could work as a whole meal.

Zucchini & Cheese Soup  Another old family favorite, chock
full of calcium and a good way to use up that summer

Zuppa Toscana   A wonderful, creamy, Italian soup that is a knockoff
of one made by the Olive Garden.
