ITALIAN SAUSAGE BALLS WITH PENNE

We are a family that really enjoys pasta meals. There are times ,when
for a change, I create a non-tomato pasta dinner.

1 lb. Italian Sausage, bulk or casings removed, mild or spicy
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
3 tablespoons flour
1 pkg. 10-oz. leaf spinach, defrosted and squeezed dry
1 cup milk or half and half
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 can chicken broth
Freshly ground black pepper
3 cups penne pasta, cooked and drained
4 tablespoons grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese

Roll sausage in small balls. In a skillet over medium heat brown
sausages. Add garlic and flour and mix. Add spinach, milk, wine,
chicken broth and freshly ground black pepper. Taste for seasoning and
add salt to taste if needed. Serve over hot penne and top with
Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Serve piping hot. Serves four.
