There are always those people on
your list that are impossible. They have everything, they can
buy whatever they want and it is difficult to find something they will really
like. Here are some
suggestions. These are things people on my lists are getting. I hope
they don't read my web
site too often.
One of the top items on our gift
lists all year round is cheese. I do some contract work for
iGourmet and have become very familiar with their products. They have
simply the BEST
cheese available unless you have a cheese shop near you and most of us don't.
Even then
it is hard for them to keep in stock all the varieties that iGourmet carries
since they have
a more limited client base. We have all gotten a cheese gift of processed
cheeses that
are kind of small and come with some sausages, etc. While these are not
bad, iGourmet
does not send anything like that. The baskets come with 1/2 pounds of
killer cheese from
all over the world, you can pick a country, a style, or our favorite to send:
iGourmet Gift Idea - "A Little Bit of Everything"
You can go over to Cheese Lovers and there
is more information about different
types of cheeses so you can pick a winner.
Restaurant.com
Everyone has to eat. Buy discount restaurant gift certificates, they can
be printed out of the computer or e-mailed to the recipient. You can get a
"megacertificate"
and they can pick their own restaurant. This is a good one for teachers,
co-workers and
others you would like to give a token of appreciation, but don't have a large
budget to do
so. I often give these to my children's teachers. It's also good for those
who live far away,
you can avoid shipping charges and it's very quick if you have forgotten
somebody, you
get the certificates instantly. There are about 4500 restaurants
represented all over the
US so check it out.
In addition you get a free subscription to Saveur or a couple of other magazines
with your purchase and a portion of your purchase can go to The Lance Armstrong
Foundation.
iTunes gift certificates
My kids are nuts about iTunes downloads and it is an
instant gift.
You can get
any kind of music, and books plus lots of exclusives.
Young and old alike
enjoy a
gift of music of their choice.
Dream On
Just read the reviews of this DVD and you will know it is something
special. This is the first two seasons of a groundbreaking HBO comedy.
While they are known for many original series now, this was their first.
Definitely for adults only. I bought a copy as soon as it was released
and can't wait for the rest of the seasons to come out. If you like smart,
well written comedy for adults, you have to get this. A great gift for a
person who has everything. Set in New York, it is the saga of Martin
Tupper and his family and friends. You will not be sorry you bought this.
